“ROCK BOTTOM BECAME THE SOLID FOUNDATION IN WHICH I REBUILT MY LIFE.” – J.K. ROWLING
The holiday season is a blessing to many, and a curse to others. It is the time of the year that we all look forward to spending it with our loved ones that we miss. This year has had its ups and a lot of its downs, so this time of the year is difficult for many knowing they cannot celebrate it with specific people while coping with the pandemic. On the contrary, as advanced manifestors we are aware that energy flows where attention goes. The more we focus on something the more it replicates. Our subconscious mind doesn’t judge positive from negative, it just records everything we speak, think and feel. How can we protect our energies this time of the year without neglecting our feelings?
It is absolutely crucial to protect your energy. While there are circumstances and people that seem unavoidable, there is always a level of control that we possess. We can always decide how we respond to things in our lives in a healthy manner no matter how dire things seem. Start your day by meditating for at least 15 minutes to ground yourself and get your mindset ready for the rest of the day. Meditating allows you to bring yourself back to the present when your mind is drifting to different places, people, concerns and worries. While it might not solve your issues or heal your broken heart, it increases your vibration. Next, create a relaxing environment which helps to elevate your energy levels. Place candles, use a scent and declutter your house. Decluttering radiates a sense of inner peace and comfort. This all helps to reduce stress levels and keeps you in a more relaxed mindframe. Throughout the day, tunnel vision on you and on any triggers that pop up so you can immediately tackle them before they duplicate. Mental diet is a lifestyle not a quick fix, so stay on top of your thoughts and feelings.
Plan your day to get a clear navigation and a sense of direction on where you’re going. If you’re missing someone during this holiday, then ask a trusted person for support to spend the day with you, to look after you and to also occupy your day. As you do that, set boundaries with others to have some time for self-reflection and to spend less time with negative people in your household. If you’re spending the holidays with family members that bring you down, set a limit on the amount of time you’re spending with them. Speaking of negativity, free up some time of your day to release the negative energy through exercise and journaling. It allows you to process your emotions and detox your body. Your physical and mental health go hand in hand, so make sure you nurture yourself in mind, body and spirit. Lastly, self-talk is the core of your mindset. The way you feel about yourself is a reflection of your inner conversations that you have with and about yourself. Make sure you start treating yourself the way you would treat a friend. Shower yourself with so much love, compassion and patience. You absolutely deserve it!
